Your Case Manager Meets You Within 24 Hours
Not at the end of your first week. Within the first 24 business hours of admission, you sit down with your case manager. Weekly sessions follow. They’re actively removing the barriers that could undo your recovery after discharge.

Within 24 hours of admission you also meet your primary clinician. A comprehensive assessment and personalized treatment plan are built from that first conversation — not templated, not delayed.
Five Clinical Groups Every Day, Six Days a Week

A Veteran Program Built Around CPT
Cognitive Processing Therapy is one of the most evidence-based treatments for PTSD and military trauma. Houston’s veteran program uses CPT with a high clinician-to-client ratio and multiple individual sessions per week — more focused, more frequent, more effective than a standard group track.

Medical Detox
Medically supervised withdrawal management. Vitals monitored throughout the day, morning medications starting at 7:15am, nursing and medical provider oversight.
Residential Treatment (RTC)
Four structured clinical groups per day, six days a week. Weekly individual therapy, weekly case management, family sessions as needed. On-site gym available outside treatment hours. Executive Chef prepared meals.
Veterans CPT Track
Available within the residential program. Low number of clients on a clinician’s caseload. 8:1 clinician-to-client ratio (industry standard is 12–15). One individual session per week. CPT specifically targeting trauma, PTSD, and the complexity of post-military adjustment. TriWest accepted.

Before You Pack Your Bag
Can I bring my pet?
Service animals and ESAs are both accepted at Houston. Your ESA will need current vaccination records submitted before admission, a flea bath on arrival, and must not be disruptive to the treatment environment. No ESAs permitted in the kitchen.
What about my phone?
Clients may have access to their phones outside of programming hours, with use thoughtfully managed as part of the recovery process. Access is introduced after an initial acclimation period and guided on a case-by-case basis to support each client’s progress.
What should I bring?
Pack for 7 days of clothes — the facility has a washer and dryer. One medium-sized suitcase. Toiletries provided on arrival. Store runs for personal items happen Tuesdays and Fridays — Amazon orders can also be approved by clinical staff.
Will I leave the facility during my stay?
Yes. Weekly outings — movies, hikes, bowling and similar activities supervised by staff. Outside 12-step meetings scheduled regularly.
Can my family visit?
For residential clients, visitation is Sundays 1–4pm for ages 13 and over. Family sessions with your clinician available up to once per week throughout your stay.
How long will I actually be here?
Detox and residential lengths vary based on individual needs and coverage. Your case manager begins discharge planning from day one, so you’re never leaving without a clear next step.
