Food is amazing, they provide you with 10 cigs a day, you have full access to your phone after detox (except during groups & meetings ofc), they take us on outings every weekend, all the staff are beyond helpful and caring including the therapists. With 10+ locations, we almost always have availability somewhere in the network. If your first choice is at capacity, we find you a placement the same day — within VRC, so your care stays coordinated.
Can I start at one location and move to another within the network?
Can I start at one location and move to another within the network?
Yes — and this is one of the biggest advantages of the VRC network. Clients regularly complete detox in Sun City West and step up to Chandler residential, or complete Astoria residential and step down to Milwaukie PHP/IOP. The teams communicate. You don’t start over.
Do you accept TriWest / VA insurance?
Yes. TriWest is accepted at multiple VRC locations including Chandler, Astoria, Milwaukie, Houston, Las Vegas and Killeen. Veterans also have access to specialized programming at several locations.
I'm out of state. Can I still come?
Yes. Clients travel from across the country — particularly to Astoria, Oregon and Las Vegas, Nevada. Our admissions team coordinates everything including transport logistics. Harry Reid International (Las Vegas) and Portland International (Astoria) are the closest major airports to those locations.
What is the difference between detox and residential treatment?
Detox is medically supervised withdrawal management — getting substances safely out of your system, usually 5–14 days. Residential is the clinical treatment program that follows — therapy, groups, case management, 21–90 days depending on insurance and clinical need. Most clients need both. Our network handles both.
